Chapter 30:

In chapter 30 of,” The Awakening,” written by Kate Chopin, a grand total of 10 people,including Edna, made it to the dinner party. It is composed of her close friends, a small group. After someone admires the diamonds displayed in Edna’s hair, which were given to her by her husband, Edna announces that it is her 29th birthday. They all toast to that and continue to have a great time. Edna begins missing Robert and falls back into her depressing mood. Victor Lebrun starts singing a song that Robert sang to Edna which causes Edna to fall into a spit of rage, break her glass, and cover Victor’s mouth. Victor kisses her hand and tells Edna that he won’t sing the song. Everyone begins to leave the dinner party while Arobin stays with Edna.
